compatible with spectrum?

Hey folks, thinking of adding an AX3000 outdoor router to my home setup. I'm currently renting the combo modem/router from Spectrum. Would this AX3000 play nice with their equipment, or is it locked down? I basically just want to boost the signal to my backyard.
